The swing set is getting rusty
And the house could use some paint
The shingles need replacing
'Cause everything crumbles and fades

Sometimes we miss the forest for the trees
We get consumed in all these things
And all these things are just a canopy
Over this family that we raise

Did you call about that policy?
And there's all these bills to pay
I know the garden needs re-planting
'Cause everything crumbles and fades

Soak in all the sunshine on their faces
Relish all the laughter in the rain
Hold the hands until they're ready to let go
Redeem the moments in these days
